English:

Object theatre is a creative learning course conceived and led by artist Sam Derounian in collaboration with Christopher Sand-Iversen from SixtyEight and Signe Simonsen from FishTank Social Hub. The aim was to give young people the chance to express through art and creative practices their experiences from a life with social and psychological challenges.

After an introductory phase during which participants work freely through the immediate and intuitive act of creating images, the resulting images are used as the basis for forming sculptural objects with which to unfold in more detail topics and conditions in a person's life that can be difficult to express directly with words. By in this way externalising thoughts as objects, the objects take on the ability to 'speak' on behalf of the person instead of words, and help to articulate things which can otherwise feel difficult to express. The project is an example of how the artistic creation of images can be an entry point to say what words can't, and thereofre forms the basis for further disciussion and reflection, whch wouldn't otherwise occur through words alone.
